|Massage with Sound – Jason Katz
Jason has been studying sound and massage, his whole life and Tibetan singing bowls intensively for the past 4 years. He has combined sound into his massage which is done on a chair, releasing tension and covering the the back, neck, arms and hands, finishing with a head massage.
Jason’s love of vibrations and sound stems from the deep awareness of the connectedness of All that is. The vibrational frequencies of all humans, animals and plants as well at the earth and all the elements, the connectedness in the entire Universe.
Healing:Sound Healing is an effective and proven modality that uses vibrational sound to help consciousness and create a deep sense of peace reduce stress, alter, well-being and better health. Sound I believe that our memories, in the form of energy, are stored in our muscles and cells and organs and that we are unconscious about most of the attitudes, beliefs and behaviours that drive our lives. When we are out of energetic alignment, (which we mostly are), our blocked or weak energy creates dis-ease.
How does it work? Ancient instruments, including Tibetan singing bowls are ‘struck and sung’ in specific rhythmic patterns to create vibrational sound harmonics at the frequency of “AUM” or “OM”. The rich sonic vibrations produced by the singing bowls are created when the mallet is rubbed on the thick outer rim of the bowl in a circular motion This sound frequency known as that of Perfection impacts the sympathetic nervous system as your brain waves synchronize to the vibrations of the bowls. The harmonic vibrations engage the relaxation reflex and slow down the respiratory, brain and heart rate and disrupt the pain reflex creating a deep sense of well-being.
|Integrative Medical Doctor – Dr Ela Manga
About 10 years ago, I was a burnt out GP with a waiting room full of patients seeking a fast solution to their health concerns. It wasn’t long before I began to see that the paradigm of medicine that I was practicing was falling short in what I believed the role of the doctor to be – a partner in the creation of sustainable health, self-awareness, and a lifestyle that supports this.
For the last decade, I have crafted a methodology in my practice that is more integrated and intuitive. I partner with my patients to create a lifestyle that is suited to their unique body type and life circumstances but that compassionately pushes them to create a new one which is more in alignment with their own nature.
My work with the Energy Journey at Deloitte Consulting has refined my understanding of the demands that the business world places on our energy resources. It has fuelled my interest in, and passion for, energy management and preventing and treating burnout in high performing individuals from corporate executives, mothers, creatives, and entrepreneurs. I am currently working on a book on energy management that is a distillation of my experience in working with energy over the last 15 years.
While my journey has spanned widely from Western Medicine to herbal medicine and energy healing, it has also dropped deeply into a place of simplicity, and now I find that that the most effective keys to our sources of energy reside in the simple tools of Breathwork and Mindfulness.
Whether you are dealing with specific symptoms or more chronic health challenge , I partner with you to support your health and wellbeing in a way that’s professional yet heart centered.
I offer private consultations, executive coaching, Skype sessions, public talks, group workshops, retreats, and breathwork practitioner training.

|Holistic Life Coach – Salochanee Reddy
My journey: After having benign tumors in my lymph nodes the size of golf balls under both my arms removed at the age of 19 and again 31 years, I turned to holistic therapies in 2009 as a preventative measure to stop the recurring tumors. The holistic therapies I used to restore my body’s balance was varied from detox, diet changes, natural medicines, acupuncture, massage, yoga and meditation…. now has become my lifestyle and my passion to help others on their journey to balance mind, body, emotions and spirit.
Through my journey of self discovery, I realized each individual is totally accountable and responsible for their own experiences and journey for healing from trauma and health issues. As my passion for Complimentary and Holistic approaches to restore balance in life grew, I decided to take a bold decision to leave the corporate world and pursue formal studying in the field of Holistic Wellbeing Therapies.
I was fortunate to obtain Perfect Health and Meditation Teacher qualification with Dr Deepak Chopra at the Chopra University in California USA.
This process helped me to have a better understanding of the mind, body, emotions and spirit and to create balance in life. It provided me with the tools and techniques to help move forward in life.
I developed a passion for learning and went on to study Ayurvedic Body Treatments in India, Life Coaching, Counselling and currently completing PHD Program in Holistic Life Coaching with the University of Sedona, Arizona USA. I gained a wealth of knowledge and through my own personal development, now assist others to live a happy, healthy, successful life. In 2014, The EQuilibrium Wellbeing Centre was founded, a Holistic and Integrative space in Saxonwold – Johannesburg, for those who are on the journey of Self Discovery needing a tranquil and safe space to come to without Dogma and Stigma.
My Aim: Is to help you create a life that you love, to motivate, encourage and support you to move forward to reach your full potential. Together, we look at all the things that may have contributed to your current state using a combination of techniques that will best suit you. We can get to the underlying cause of your problem – which then leads you to create permanent changes in your life.
I am passionate to inspire others to live a balanced life by making conscious choices that bring peace, health, love and meaning to life. My focus and simple approach to life is, “back to basics” by laying the foundations of better health, more loving relationships, unconditional peace and spiritual awakening, while adding value to society in some way.
On a practical level, it involves taking care of the physical self daily, while allowing oneself free time to expand consciousness, enable mindfulness, gather thoughts, breathe and de-clutter the mind.
Connect with me on 011 568 0329 or email Salochanee@eqcentre.co.za to guide you through your journey of self discovery.
|Vinyasa Yoga Teacher – Hannelize Robinson
Hannelize Robinson has been practicing yoga since 2012 and began teaching Vinyasa Yoga in 2014. Her professional background is in Business Management and she has been running her own Project & Corporate Event Management consultancy since 2010. Her journey has taken her towards conscious and mindful living with yoga becoming an integral part of her life. “After completing my Vinyasa Yoga Teacher Training at Living Yoga in 2014 I was inspired to share the many benefits of yoga with others. I believe that yoga is accessible to everyone and it is not about how flexible or strong you are or about mastering a difficult pose – even though that will follow with regular practice – it is rather about how mindful and present you are on (and off) the mat. The practice of Vinyasa Yoga aims to unite mind, body and spirit through conscious movement linked to the breath. It stills the mind and allows us to become more internally focused and more mindful in everything we do. It supports a healthy lifestyle and results in long-term health and wellbeing for mind & body.” Her intention is to inspire her students on their own journey of transformation by teaching a mindful asana practice while integrating the other seven limbs of Pantanjali’s eight-limb path. Hannelize’s sequences are carefully planned and adapted to the needs of her students.
“Yoga is a wonderful journey of self-discovery and development for me and I look forward to sharing it with you”

|Shasta Goodfellow – Yoga and Cranio Sacral Therapist
Shasta Goodfellow is passionate about supporting women through their pregnancy, birth and recovery. She is a yoga instructor, CranioSacral Therapist, natural birth educator and doula.Shasta is excited about bringing her specialized Pregnancy and Postnatal yoga classes to the beautiful Equilibrium Centre. Her focus is on helping women take the time to nurture themselves and baby, creating a strong foundation on which to build a new life. She helps women tap into their inherent health, power and strength, creating yoga sequences that cultivate mindful breath, open the hips, challenge the mind and prepare the body for a calm and conscious birth experience (whether this be natural or Caesarean).
CranioSacral Therapy is a very gentle light-touch therapy suitable and safe for people of all ages; from tiny babies to the elderly. The therapist tunes into cranial motion in order to locate and release areas of restriction or congestion.
These restrictions are caused when the body contracts due to injury or emotionally charged experiences such as shock, fear etc. Stresses, strains, tensions and traumas that are ‘stored’ by the body in this way will restrict the body’s functioning and may give rise to health problems over the years. The problems may be both physical (such as back pain, migraine and digestive disorders) and emotional (such as anxiety and depression).
CranioSacral Therapy is often appropriate even where other therapies may be unsafe, such as during pregnancy, after an operation, accident or injury and for babies struggling with birth trauma.
To book for Pre or Postnatal Yoga classes and CranioSacral Therapy contact Shasta on 083 364 5036 or email email@example.com
